Jennifer Farris with Studio Gallery, San Francisco
Jennifer Farris is the owner of Studio Gallery in San Francisco's Russian Hill. The gallery showcases the work of both emerging and more established artists living in the Bay Area. The gallery strives to make the art-buying experience fun, comfortable and accessible. She also co-founded 23rd Street Gallery in Noe Valley, which has become one of the largest figure drawing studios in the area. Prior to starting STUDIO Gallery, Jennifer worked in corporate America for twenty years, spending half that time as a management consultant in Silicon Valley. Danielle Fox with Slate Contemporary Gallery, Oakland
Danielle Fox has over twenty years of experience as an art historian (PhD Northwestern University), writer, editor, independent curator, Deputy Director of Business Development at Sothebys in London, and communications and project manager for Artakt Art consulting in London. She brings an understanding of the international art market; experience working with galleries, auction houses, and private clients; and five years working in the interior design field, which gives her a special understanding of the important role that art often plays in broader architectural and design programs. Danielle founded SLATE contemporary gallery in Oakland in 2009, and SLATE Art Consulting with Shelley Barry in 2013. These positions have allowed her to develop relationships with artists all over the Bay Area, to curate over sixty-five temporary exhibitions in public and private gallery and office environments, and to advise both commercial and private clients regarding permanent acquisitions and sales at auction. Suzanne Gray with Seager Gray Gallery, Mill Valley
Suzanne Gray, a resident of Mill Valley, grew up in upstate New York and studied journalism and art history at Syracuse University and San Jose State. Her lifelong interest and background in art and art history landed her a position at Donna Seager Gallery where she became an integral part of the business and ultimately a valued partner. Gray’s skills extend themselves to professional art consultant services and she has overseen both commercial and residential art programs. Her knowledge of the art market, sophisticated eye and understanding of art placement have gained her the trust and respect of her clients. MODERATOR: Stephen C. Wagner
Stephen C. Wagner is the managing partner at Arc Gallery & Studios in San Francisco featuring a 1,000 sq. ft. art gallery, two smaller galleries, ten artist studios, an art education center, and coffeehouse. He has actively participated with the ArtSpan San Francisco Open Studios planning committees and received the first ArtSpan Volunteer of the Year Award in 2008. Stephen was the Program Development Coordinator for the San Diego Art Institute and a member of the Southern California Museum Council. Stephen has exhibited and sold his artwork in galleries in London, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Laguna Beach, San Francisco, San Diego, Palm Springs, Seattle, New Orleans, Albuquerque, Galveston, Sun Valley, Kauai, Alameda, and San Anselmo, as well as art centers in Oakland, Berkeley, Pacifica, Sebastopol, Petaluma, Benicia, and Tarzana. Stephen's artwork is included in the permanent collections at the Riverside Art Museum in Riverside, CA, and the Museum of the Living Artist in San Diego, CA.
